It been over a year since I last wrote a blog post. Since I’ve moved to WordPress.com from Blogger, I am hoping that I will be more consistent. So far, I have been loving the WordPress platform. In my opinion, it is a bit better than Blogger. (Sorry, Blogger!) It seems cleaner.
I was going through my old Blogger posts after I imported it to WordPress. Deleted some posts that made no sense to me (what was I trying to write about?). It was interesting to read what I wrote back in 2011 to 2013. Most of it was me rambling on about something. The last post that I wrote was last year in May, so this post will be the first blog post for 2014.
So, how did I ended up with WordPress? It was because of my marketing internship project where my team have to set up a website for a dog walking business. No one in my team have experience with WordPress before, but we have heard a lot about it. We were deciding to use either WordPress or Wix for the website and most of us were leaning toward WordPress. I was researching on how to use WordPress and learned the differences between the .Org version and the .Com version. Turned out that the .Org version was massively complicated (very time consuming) and also involved spending money. Although it is a great tool to use with all the customization, it was not for us. For this particular project, free is better and WordPress.com is the answer. It’s free and easy to use.
Since I was researching on WordPress.com, I decided to create my own personal account just to see how this platform works. That was when I decided to moved my Blogger posts to WordPress. I think this was a good decision. I really love the format on WordPress. Also, my team like the WordPress site for our dog walking business project.
